Labour Law Office was established by Iwona Jaroszewska-Ignatowska - a legal advisor, officially listed by the Council of the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Warsaw under number WA-5690. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at Gdańsk University as the 10th on the list of the best graduates and completed her legal training as a judge. She is currently doing her PhD course at the Chair of Administrative Law at Warsaw University.
Ms Jaroszewska - Ignatowska is thought to be one of the best known experts on labour law. She was the Head of the Legal Department of one of the consulting agencies providing legal service for economic entities in the field of labour law, mainly involving working time inside institutions, sources of labour law and negotiations with trade unions. Additionally, she has experience in the creation of legal relationships between managements and agencies of temporary work and outsourcing agencies. Moreover, she is the author of the ways of informing and implementing consultations with employees which were implemented with a huge success for employees councils. She has experience in The Department of Press and Information in The Constitutional Tribunal. Legal opinions drafted by her always conclude recommendations and a business risk in case of not follow recommended solutions.
She was the participant of the committee of Sejm of the Republic of Poland which was deliberating the novelization of Labour Code in 2003 and Brussels Programme concerning social dialogue in The European Union.
The Office`s high degree of specialization in labour law services directly results from many years of practical experience and research. Ms Jaroszewska - Ignatowska conducts training on labour law for both HR personnel and managerial staff mainly concerning working time, employment discrimination, mobbing, termination of agreements etc. The aim of the training is to focus the managerial staff on the responsibility in decision-making processes relating to personal management and to pass on a practical knowledge of labour law.
Iwona Jaroszewska-Ignatowska was the lecturer of a labour law in Lazarski School of Commerce and Law and Academy of the Management of Establishment in Warsaw. At present she is lecturing on Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management (LKAEM) - postgraduate studies.
Ms Jaroszewska - Ignatowska was the speaker during the seminar organized by the Factory Inspectorate and The Commissioner of the Government to equal rights of women and men - "The job market friendly for everyone", the conference of the Polish association of the legal education in Warsaw University - "The economic and social reasons of the equal rights of women and men", the author of the report drawn up for Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland - "The discrimination because of being in elderly age".
She is the author of lots of press publications on labour law in: „Gazeta Prawna", „Poradnik Gazety Prawnej", „Rzeczpospolita", "Puls Biznesu". She cooperates with some known polish publishers like "Park Publishing", "Wiedza i Praktyka". She is the one of the authors of "The law not only for lawyers" - the encyclopedia. She is often welcomed as an expert and a guest to take part in radio station and TV programmes. Nowadays she is an editor "Personel od A do Z" - periodical for HR personnel (www.personelodAdoZ.pl).
